1. Update and Upgrade Your System
This is the 1st step for any Linux distro after a fresh installation. Linux is well known for its stability and rock-solid security, and this can be achieved by regular system update and upgrade.

You should run the update at least once a week so that all the libraries and packages remain updated. Here you need to follow the below command in the terminal.
sudo dnf check-update sudo dnf upgrade
2. Gnome Tweak Tool
Gnome Tweak Tool is a must-have application for your Fedora installation. It will let you change the desktop environment by changing themes, icons, fonts, colors, user interface, etc. Run the following command to install the Gnome Tweak Tool.

3. Enable RPM Fusion Repositories
Due to license complicacy with a third-party developer, Fedora can not include the best and effective software by default. You can install TLP to reduce overheating and improve battery life instantly just after installation. You do not have to configure anything, just install and forget. To install the TLP, run the following command in the Terminal.
sudo dnf install tlp

- Install an Office Suite
As Fedora does not come with any office suite, I recommend you to use the LibreOffice suite.
sudo dnf install LibreOffice
- VLC Player
I think there is no need to give any additional info about this best and top-rated media player. Every major system knows this one. To install it on your system by following the command and enjoy multimedia.
sudo dnf install vlc
- Install Wine
Install Wine to run the Windows software into the Linux system.
sudo dnf install wine
- Java Plugin
sudo dnf install icedtea-web java-openjdk
- Install Archive Formats
sudo dnf install p7zip p7zip-plugins unrar
8. Install Themes and Icons
Themes and Icons let us change the traditional desktop environment into something elegant and fabulous looking. As you have already installed Gnome Tweak Tool, it’s not changing the themes and icons.

9. Install Different Desktop Environments
