As you’re building an operating system from scratch, so it will take longer time than grabbing a pre-compiled ISO file. But, it is a very popular method of building the OS, especially for developers and system admins.
This type of operating system gives you the option to select what you want inside the OS. You can eliminate all types of applications from the OS if you think they are not useful for you. And, of course, this Linux distribution is also systemd-free.
We have seen some Linux distributions that are systemd-free, but that doesn’t mean that all those operating systems that have the system daemon are bad or harmful. In many cases, it’s essential to have the daemon for better performance.

Interesting… all the distros, here, I have tried and tested. ALL have major issues that will not let them work on my stock HP Pavilion laptop. And yet, most systemd running distros I have tried seem to work fine. So here is my take on this. If it works, I will use it. If it does not work, I will move on to something that does work – in this case systemd. It’s as simple as that.
